Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking a Cook for the Food Service department. Location is the Administration building or as assigned. The role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining clean work areas, and assisting with inventory and record-keeping.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, experience in food service, and the ability to work 35 hours per week. Familiarity with Workday, Newton, and Edison is preferred, and punctuality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with Workday, Newton and Edison programs is required.
• Experience in Food Service as a Cook is preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Must be punctual with good attendance and a solid work history.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the Director, Area Food Supervisor, and Assistant/Acting Lunchroom Manager.
• Act in place of the Assistant Lunchroom Manager as needed, including paperwork and ordering procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Handle all food and supplies in a clean, safe, and economical manner.
• Maintain serving areas, storage, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Assist in setting up serving lines and preparing/cooking items as needed.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Comply with health, safety, and district policies in all tasks.
• Perform related duties to support cafeteria operations.
