Job summary

Waverly Community Schools in Michigan is seeking a Food Service Floater trained in all areas of food service operations. Under the direction of the Food Services Director, this position may be assigned to fill daily absences or vacancies and assist in the daily management and operations of the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Federal School Lunch Program and local health regulations.
• Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Willingness to obtain required Food Service training including allergy training.

Responsibilities

• Take steps to comply with health, safety and sanitation regulations for staff and customers.
• Supervise the production of meals served.
• Account and verify all deliveries to the kitchen and rotate using FIFO.
• Fill production forms and related orders (bread, GFS, Coke).
• Stock all lines and ensure storerooms, freezers and coolers are clean.
• Assist other team members and serve customers in a friendly manner.
