Job summary

Waverly Community Schools is seeking a part-time Food Service Floater to support operations across all school buildings. The role requires training in all areas of food service under the Food Services Director, with duties including supervising meal production, handling deliveries, and assisting in daily operations.

The position supports health and sanitation compliance, works with part-time staff, and may cashier or help manage POS reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Federal School Lunch Program and local health department regulations
• Must possess a Michigan driver’s license and have reliable transportation to travel to all school buildings as assigned.
• Willingness to obtain required training for Food Service programs including allergy training.

Responsibilities

• Enforce health, safety and sanitation regulations for cafeteria staff and customers.
• Supervise the production of meals served.
• Manage deliveries to the kitchen and FIFO rotations.
• Fill production forms and orders; assist in daily operations.
