Job summary

The Fleet Management Administrator position is within the Department of Public Works for the District of Columbia government. It is responsible for purchasing and maintaining the district’s 3,000-vehicle fleet, excluding police, fire and emergency vehicles, and for coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs across a broad range of equipment.

The incumbent leads a city-wide fleet program, oversees fuel distribution, vehicle acquisitions, and data management, and ensures efficient operation

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in fleet management or related administrative work.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, directs, coordinates and controls city-wide fleet management activities.
• Manage fleet maintenance, fuel, parts, and acquisitions services across the District government.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary and regulatory requirements.
