Valley View Community Unit School District 365U is seeking a full-time Certified School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year districtwide. The nurse will work with administration to coordinate health services for the buildings and maintain required records.

The role involves advising staff on health matters, developing care plans for students with medical needs, and collaborating with the special education team to assess health information and support students.

Qualificações

• Licensed as a registered nurse in Illinois.
• State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License.
• CPR certification required by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Experience developing care plans for students with medical needs.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of impact of medical issues on educational settings.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate health services with building administration.
• Maintain accurate health records as required by law and policy.
• Advise staff on health matters and communicable diseases.
• Report suspected child abuse per policy.
• Collaborate with special education team to assess health information.
• Prepare mandated health and development work-ups for students in special education.
