Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools district seeks an OSE LRE Compliance Coordinator to develop and oversee district-wide special education compliance practices and staff support. The role includes crafting school-based procedures for compliance, coordinating summer programming, and supervising paraprofessional training and allocations.

The coordinator will design, coordinate, and provide training and planning for material orders, and will serve as the primary point of contact for compliance questions

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Ability to qualify for Administrative Certification.
• Special education teacher with at least five years of classroom experience.
• Experience with district compliance and collaborating with district leaders.
• Experience collecting and analyzing district data for purposes of monitoring instruction and student learning.
• Knowledge of AAPS, MDE, and IDEA policy.

Responsibilities

• Craft school-based procedures for meeting compliance.
• Develop student summer programming.
• Supervise paraprofessional training and allocations.
• Design, coordinate, and provide training, planning and facilitating of material orders.
• Attend Teaching and Learning Council; other duties as assigned.

Education

Master's Degree

Valid Michigan teaching certificate

Ability to qualify for Administrative Certification

Special education teacher with 5+ years of classroom experience

Experience leading district professional development

Knowledge of AAPS, MDE, and IDEA policy
