Portland Public Schools is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services for K-12 students across district schools in Portland, ME. The SLP will join a multidisciplinary team including teachers, ed-techs, social workers, OT and PT.

The current openings are likely based at Talbot Community School. Eligible for benefits; position is full-time and reports to the Senior Director of Special Education.

Qualifications

• Experience in public school environment preferred.
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilités

• Assess speech and language development using varied tools.
• Complete evaluation reports and IEPs for caseload.
• Cite data for progress discussions (present levels, goals, evaluations).
• Deliver direct instruction and consult per IEPs.
• Manage caseload under speech/language disability category.
• Develop goals and IEPs compliant with laws.
• Implement services in the least restrictive environment.
• Document therapy sessions for scheduling and MaineCare billing.
• Participate in Child Find screenings.
• Support AAC devices where applicable.
• Handle students in programs like Functional Life Skills.
