Job summary

St. Helens School District seeks a qualified Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full‑time (.75 FTE, 6 hours/day) position serves students ages 5–21 with IEPs in a district near Portland.

Responsibilities include evaluating disorders, developing IEPs, delivering therapy, coordinating with families and staff, supervising SLPA assistants, and maintaining confidential records. Oregon licensure and Masters in SLP required; ASHA CCC preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current license from the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology.
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain CCC-SLP from ASHA within two years with district supervision.
  • Commitment to ongoing development of the speech-language program.
  • Prior related experience is welcome but not required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Provide supervision to SLPA assistants as required.
  • Ability to provide services for school-aged children in Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech-language therapy to students with IEPs.
  • Collaborate with staff and families; prepare evaluation and progress reports.
  • Evaluate eligibility and develop IEPs; monitor progress.
  • Supervise SLPA assistants and provide staff training.
  • Maintain records and confidentiality.
  • Attend IEP and CST meetings; coordinate services across sites.
  • Deliver RTI interventions as appropriate.
