Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking an Anticipated School Counselor for grades 6-12 to lead and coordinate a comprehensive counseling program, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth across the feeder pattern. The role involves collaborating with campus leadership, delivering guidance lessons, coordinating SEL initiatives, and ensuring TEA compliance.

A Master’s in Guidance Counseling and active Texas credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Guidance Counseling.
• Texas counseling certificate (valid).
• Texas teacher certificate (valid).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordinate the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program for grades 6-12.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development and promote district initiatives.
• Coordinate campus-based professional development trainings and counseling-related activities.
• Review student records and assist with CCMR and course placement decisions.
• Serve as liaison among Counseling Services, campus leadership, and stakeholders.
