Job summary

Dallas Independent School District seeks an Anticipated Counselor for grades 9-12 to lead a comprehensive school counseling program and support students' psychological, academic and social development.

The role focuses on coordinating district initiatives, planning transitions, delivering guidance lessons PK-12, monitoring PEIMS data, and communicating with Principals, families and staff to promote student success and CCMR readiness.

Qualifications

  • Master's in Guidance Counseling with TX certification.
  • Experience with ASCA model and PK-12 guidance curriculum.
  • Ability to coordinate school-wide counseling initiatives.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote district initiatives and growth mindset with staff, parents and students.
  • Plan and implement transitions between elementary, middle, and high school.
  • Serve as liaison between Counseling Services and campus leadership meetings.
  • Coordinate counseling trainings and campus professional development.
  • Deliver and oversee school-wide counseling initiatives and activities.
  • Monitor PEIMS data submissions and guide classroom guidance lessons.
  • Communicate with Principals, families and community partners.
