Job summary

Montebello Unified School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Operations Manager to oversee district-wide nutrition programs, supervise centers, ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations, and develop policy and training initiatives for staff.

The role involves on-site inspections, cost analysis, menu oversight, staff scheduling, and collaboration with administrators to improve service quality and nutrition outcomes across all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, public health or related field.
• Two years progressively responsible experience in instructional food service.
• A Food Safety Manager certificate must be acquired within the probationary period and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and evaluate district-wide nutrition center programs.
• Supervise staff and provide coaching for performance improvement.
• Develop and implement operation and training policies and procedures.
• Monitor on-site inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state and District regulations.
• Coordinate training, scheduling, and staff development.
• Plan and oversee menus, food safety and nutrition standards across sites.
