North Kansas City Schools is seeking a 2026-27 High School Boys Assistant Swim Coach for the district-wide program in Kansas City, MO. The role is part-time and starts immediately, with stipend compensation per the district supplemental salary schedule.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Missouri DESE teaching certificate (or substitute certificate) and bring coaching experience. You will support student skill development, safety, and program coordination under the direction of the athletic

Valid Missouri teacher or substitute certificate issued through DESE.
Preferred previous coaching experience in assigned sport.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes to perform essential functions.
Board may accept suitable alternatives to the above qualifications.

Responsibilities

Assist in coaching individual participants to develop sport-specific skills.
Assist in planning and scheduling regular practice sessions during the season.
Work with athletic director and Head Coach on scheduling interscholastic contests.
Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
Maintain attendance forms, insurance records, and related paperwork.
Oversee safety conditions of the facility during activities.
Establish performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanship among students.
Assist in organizing and supervising the total sports program.
