Job summary

Washougal School District is seeking a Certificated Guest (Substitute) Teacher to provide on-call coverage district-wide. Must hold a WA OSPI teaching or substitute certificate.

Daily pay ranges from $90 for half-day to $180 for full-day, with positions opening for the 2026-27 school year. Responsibilities include delivering district-approved instruction, maintaining records, and supporting student progress while creating a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
• KNOWLEDGE is required of best professional practices in math. Must be able to perform algebra and/or geometry; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems.

Responsibilities

• Teach to district approved course goals and objectives.
• Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified by state law and regulations.
• Provide individual and group instruction to achieve objectives.
• Maintain records as required.
• Supervise pupils during assigned periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
