Job summary

Clover Park School District is seeking qualified Guest Teachers for the 2026-27 school year. These on-call substitute positions require a valid Washington State Teaching certificate and the ability to cover multiple classrooms as needed.

Substitutes will follow lesson plans, manage classrooms, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment while communicating professionally with staff, students, and parents. Training and onboarding are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State teaching certificate.
• Ability and desire to work on a constant basis – minimum 1 time a month.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective classroom management.
• Ability to successfully employ effective teaching methods.
• Desire and ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, students and parents from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Follow lesson plans and maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with staff and students.
• Ensure student safety and engagement throughout the day.
