Job summary

St. Francis Area Schools is hiring a Blind Visually Impaired Teacher for the 2026-27 school year to provide services district-wide. The role requires data-based, specialized instructional strategies and collaboration with administrators, psychologists, teachers, interpreters, case managers, and families. Minnesota licensure in BVI is preferred.

The position includes 186 duty days per year at 8 hours per day (.5 position) with salary per the Teachers Work Agreement and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Teacher Licensure in Blind/Visually Impaired (preferred)
• Data-based, specialized instructional strategies for low-incidence learners

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and evaluate students district-wide.
• Provide direct and indirect BVI services and collaborate with teams to tailor accommodations and supports.
• Consult regularly with classroom teachers and families to coordinate programs and services.
