Job summary

Reading Public Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE Behavior Specialist through June 30, 2027. This benefits-eligible role provides district-wide consultation for students from Early Childhood through Post Graduate, supporting teachers, administrators, and service providers with high-needs behavioral and communication supports.

The specialist brings ABA and special education expertise to develop individualized student-centered plans, observes and analyzes data, and collaborates with families and outside

Qualifications

• Master’s degree; experience working directly with students in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret educational materials and data.

Responsibilities

• Provide district-wide consultation to teachers and staff on behavioral, social-emotional, and instructional needs.
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavioral Support Plans.
• Collaborate with teams to implement, monitor and revise interventions and IEP/504 supports.
• Lead and participate in Professional Learning Communities and district trainings.
• Provide Safety Care training and coaching to staff as needed.
