Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you will support pharmacy operations across the district, filling scheduling gaps under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL). Your responsibilities include:

1. Supporting safe and effective patient care through dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Traveling within the district to fill pharmacist shifts and overseeing pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
3. Ensuring adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures and safety protocols.
4. Assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, coaching staff, and resolving insurance or medication issues.
6. Promoting immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization delivery.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory, with emphasis on cold chain protection and inventory best practices.
8. Remaining flexible to meet scheduling and business needs while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
9. Maintaining and expanding clinical and technical skills through ongoing training and education.
10. Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services, where permissible.
11. Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety, privacy, and a safe workplace.
