Job summary

Plainville Community Schools is seeking daily substitute teachers to cover assignments at all grade levels and subjects. A Bachelor’s degree is recommended, and ED 174 can be filed to obtain substitute authorization; prior experience with children is helpful.

Substitute teachers follow lesson plans and must work well with students, including those with special education needs. Substitutes are paid at $118.58 per day, with flexible work days through the school district's schedule and the Aesop

Description:

Assignments for substitute teachers are available at all grade levels and all subject areas. A Bachelor's degree is recommended, but the district can complete the ED 174 application for substitute teacher authorization and submit it to the Bureau of Certification to allow you to subtitute as long as you have previously worked with children. Substitute teachers must be able to follow instructions and lesson plans left by the teacher. As a substitute teacher you must be able to work with students with special education needs. Excellent communication skills are required. Must be reliable and have a positive attitude. The District uses Aesop, which is an automated substitute service that allows you to search and accept/decline the substitute jobs by school. Substitute compensation rate is $118.58 per day.
