Position Mission:

The District Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a top-performing bakery. This includes front-line work, on-the-job training of Shift Leaders and Team Members, maintaining cleanliness and brand standards, and creating a memorable guest experience with fast, friendly service and quality products in a safe environment.

District Shift Leaders are the next step to becoming a General Manager and must lead to that standard in the absence of the General Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting customer-facing operations by engaging in safe, high-quality food production and menu standards.
  • Interfacing with customers to provide fast, friendly service.
  • Providing on-the-job training to Shift Leaders and Team Members to ensure high-quality food production and menu standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with directives from the General Manager.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Assisting with weekly work schedules and catering engagements.

Supporting bakery operations by:

  • Being a role model by delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Treating all guests to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Knowing and notifying the General Manager of any regulatory non-compliance.
  • Implementing company initiatives promptly.
  • Learning the duties of the General Manager for brief periods.
  • Making bank deposits if directed.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, count, and complete documentation in English.
  • Ability to understand menu boards and monitors.
  • Non-slip shoes required; ability to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends.
  • Ability to pass background checks and obtain ServSafe certification.
  • Valid state driver's license and willingness to fill in at other locations.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving. Ability to work under stress, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines. Moderate noise level, minimal chemical exposure, and no significant adverse environmental conditions.
