Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic in San Jose, CA to service and repair construction equipment. The role requires 4+ years of hands-on experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

You will diagnose diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, interpret schematics, and perform preventive maintenance. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, morning shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience maintaining and repairing construction equipment.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems (AC/DC).
• Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
