Job summary

Qualifications

  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist certificate or Preliminary certificate.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with behavior management and intervention planning helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, coordinate MET assessments for students suspected of eligibility for special education.
  • Write and interpret assessment results for referral sources and parents.
  • Attend REED, IEP and other meetings.
  • Assist in developing, analyzing, and evaluating interventions at individual, group, and system levels.
  • Provide consultation to parents, school personnel, students and others.
  • Coordinate with agencies to arrange services for children with behavioral challenges.
  • Complete forms and reports in a timely manner per ISD policies.
  • Contribute to MTSS activities and initiatives.
  • Serve as a Team Coordinator within ISD and local districts as needed.
