Job summary

SEW‑EURODRIVE USA seeks a District Sales Engineer to join our Northeast Sales Team, covering the Greater Boston area. The role focuses on promoting SEW‑EURODRIVE products and building customer relationships while delivering technical support and training.

The ideal candidate will have experience with gear reducers, motors, and drives, along with strong organizational and communication skills. This on‑site position offers a base salary of $80k–$95k with additional commission and bonus potential.

Qualifications

Must be located in or willing to relocate to Greater Boston, MA area.
Experience with gear reducers, electric motors, VFDs, and motion controllers.
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel and visit customers.
Ability to sit, stand, and lift frequently.
Optional: Associate degree in engineering, industrial distribution, or related field.
Optional: two years outside sales or four years inside sales.

Responsibilities

Generate revenue and increase sales of SEW‑EURODRIVE products.
Develop and nurture relationships with customer accounts.
Perform sales calls for face-to-face interactions.
Develop and manage sales strategies and programs to increase sales.
Provide technical, training, promotional, and sales support to direct and indirect customers.
Understand major markets and industries.
Develop and perform training for customers as needed.
Attend training and self-train to increase product knowledge.
Provide value through knowledge, expertise and follow-up.
Qualify and develop sales leads.
Daily travel within the territory and overnight travel as needed.
Travel to training and events.
Be attentive to customer needs and occasional after-hours work.
Use CRM to manage customer interactions.
