Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Dallas District Safety Officer I or II to support safety programs, coordinate safety meetings, and partner with employees and leaders to drive a culture of safety on Texas roadways.

The role involves planning, conducting, and documenting safety activities, with paid yearly salary ranges based on the Officer I or II level. Excellent team engagement and safety leadership are expected in this environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Technology, Business Admin or related discipline.
• Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications may apply by year-for-year experience.

Mansioni

• Answers safety-related inquiries from the public.
• Coordinates safety meetings; planning, scheduling, and providing materials.
• Inspects equipment and work areas.
• Investigates accidents, prepares reports, and maintains records; recommends actions.
• Plans and administers safety training, including defensive driving, CPR, first-aid, and fleet safety; maintains records.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
