Job summary

Riverview Gardens School District in Missouri seeks a District Safety Officer to safeguard students, staff and property across 12 schools.

You will partner with school leaders to maintain a secure, conducive learning environment, manage incident reporting, and support ongoing safety training for personnel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in security industry preferred.
• Ability and personality to work with students, colleagues, teachers, and other staff.
• Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the safety and security of students, personnel and property.
• Work closely with students and school administrators to support a safe environment.
• Establish good working relationships with Building Administrator, co-workers, custodian and faculty.
• Be familiar with the facilities in order to execute assigned duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Participate in arrival and dismissal process of students; may be required to assist with school functions.
• Continue to upgrade professional skills by attending workshops, seminars, staff meetings, etc. as scheduled by the Director of Safety and Security.
• Submit an Field Report to Director of Safety and Security and Building Administrator when warranted.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY
