SUMMARY:

Report directly to the Substitute Teacher/Leave Coordinator or building Principal. To provide temporary support for classroom teachers in case of teacher absence, in order to ensure continuity of instruction for students.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervise areas of specific responsibilities as they relate to the classroom or program setting.
• Follow established classroom routines as outlined by building principal and /or teacher lesson plans.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the teacher.
• Make every effort to continue the instructional program.

Minimum Education And Experience Required

• 36 college credit hours
• OR Completion of Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program
• Ability and personality to work with colleagues, teachers, and other staff
• Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources

Salary: Substitute rates:

• $140/day for a day to day substitute teachers
• $230/day for long term substitute teachers
