Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to uphold pharmacy excellence across multiple stores. You will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, supervise the pharmacy team, and support the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when needed, ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and compassionate patient care.

Travel within the district is required; you’ll partner with store teams, provide immunizations where permissible, and help optimize workflow, inventory, and patient outcomes while upholding CVS

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Responsibilities

• Living CVS Health values while delivering safe and accurate dispensing, counseling, and immunization practices
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts and oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy
• Support safe prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safeguarding patient information
• Assists Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Contributes to positive patient experiences by providing compassionate care and coaching pharmacy staff
• Provide immunizations and support technicians in immunization delivery
• Manage pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain protection and cost controls
• Maintain flexibility for scheduling and business needs while fostering a safe, inclusive team environment
• Maintain clinical and technical skills through required trainings and CMEs
• Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies
