Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps across stores in the district and to support pharmacy teams with accountability for patient safety and quality care.

You will travel within the district to fill shifts, oversee workflow, and act as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when needed. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, immunizations, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC).
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures.
• Assist as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathetic care and collaboration with the patient’s healthcare team.
• Provide immunizations and mentor Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization procedures.
• Maintain inventory and protect cold chain products across pharmacies in the district.
