Job summary

CVS Health District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in ensuring excellence across the pharmacy team. You will cover scheduling gaps, oversee pharmacy operations, and support patient care in stores throughout the district.

The DSP acts as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts and champions safe, compassionate service. This full-time role requires a current pharmacist license in the state, travel within the district, and a focus on patient safety, immunizations, and

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
• Willingness to travel within a reasonable district radius.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across the district as needed.
• Support pharmacy teams and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts.
• Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assist with immunizations and clinical care where permissible; mentor technicians.
