Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist scheduling across our stores in the district and to support pharmacy teams as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when needed. You will help ensure safe dispensing, patient counseling, and immunization services while maintaining compliance with regulations and CVS policies.

The role requires traveling within a reasonable district radius, regular attendance including nights and weekends, and a dedication to compassionate patient

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC); oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Actively offer and administer immunizations and coach the Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
• Contribute to patient experiences by providing compassionate care and addressing insurance and medication issues.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, CVS policies, and privacy requirements to ensure safe, inclusive workplaces.
