Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to support our retail pharmacies across the district. In this part-time role, you will help cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, assist the Pharmacy Manager, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient counseling while maintaining compliance and quality.

The position requires an active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and the ability to travel within the district.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time; pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs; ensure prescription information and label accuracy for patient safety
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner; respond to patient reactions appropriately
• Communication Skills: Use verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues; practice active listening
• Mathematical Reasoning: Use math to determine dispense quantities, days supply, and bottle counts
• Problem Resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose best course of action
• Physical Demands: Be mobile, lift and bag items, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring detailed manual effort
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
