Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a District Operations Manager for Huntsville, AL onsite to lead service district operations, safety programs, and customer-focused execution. The role involves coordinating quotes, supervising technicians, and driving project schedules with Account Managers and the District Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years related HVAC industry experience.
• 8+ years strategic leadership of an industrial HVAC business unit (preferred).
• 4+ years managing technicians or employees in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC design, systems, applications, and energy saving solutions.
• Demonstrated success in strategically leading business units.

Responsibilities

• Administer safety programs, monitor compliance with job site safety, safety training, safety documentation, auditing, and reporting.
• Support sales through involvement in job quotation and estimation.
• Approve estimates for scope of work, labor hours and material content, assess profit risk of jobs, control material and labor costs, and provide feedback to the District Manager.
• Establish project timelines and meet with customers to communicate and coordinate project schedule.
• Manage projects, assign personnel, oversee ordering of equipment and material, and assure proper customer signoffs per policy.
• Oversee quotation of call-in work and transactional sales and assign personnel to ensure quotes are delivered timely.
• Provide consistent interface with current customer base to identify additional selling opportunities.
• Ensure maintenance contract commitments are fulfilled and inspections completed on time.
• Support the district under direction of District Manager.
• Work with the technician team to generate pull-through service and repair work on existing house accounts.
• Manage Tech Tip program and lead customer care initiatives.
• Coordinate with Account Managers and District Manager to resolve customer issues.
• Provide weekly job status, revenue, and warranty recovery report to DM.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee quotation of call-in work, transactional sales (not requiring SSR skills), and assign personnel as needed to ensure that quotes are delivered to customers on a timely basis
• Provide consistent interface with current customer base and establishes effective working relationships in order to identify additional selling opportunities
• Ensure that maintenance contract commitments are fulfilled and inspections completed on time while providing input to Service Coordinators on scheduling activity of technicians
• Support the district under direction of District Manager
• Work with the technician team to generate pull-through service and repair work on existing house accounts
• Manage Tech Tip program and lead customer care initiatives
• Work with Account Managers and District Manager in order to resolve customer issues, including customer visits
• Provide weekly job status, revenue, and warranty recovery report to DM

Your Qualifications:

This position may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate’s education, experience, and demonstrated competencies.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $153,300 plus a targeted incentive plan in Alabama. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
