Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Service and Solutions Account Manager in Alabama. You will develop and maintain direct owner relationships, sell preventative maintenance contracts, and advise clients on products and solutions based on their needs.

The role involves territory travel, collaboration with owners, reps, service managers, and technicians, and targeting enterprise clients. Hybrid work in Birmingham or Montgomery is available.

Qualifications

• HVAC field service experience or related sales experience.
• Experience creating sales proposals and contracts.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM (preferred).

Your Responsibilities

• Work in assigned territory, partnering closely with Direct Owners, Independent Manufacturers Representatives, District Office and Service Center Managers, sales colleagues, the Parts team and Technicians
• Meet sales goals through the development of existing customers and prospecting new business
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from Daikin installed equipment database, industry sources, business directories, vertical market information or any other lead generation source
• Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, build customer relationships and follow up on customer concerns
• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations. Verifies and quotes prices, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
• Perform tests and conduct surveys on competitive products in order to determine the need for product alterations or the development of new products
• Prepare reports of pipeline, sales activity, and business plans
• Identify and implement tools and resources to assist in sales efforts (e.g. energy rebates, estimated payoffs, ROI)
• Plan, organize, and guide projects through to completion; involves internal and external subject matter experts as needed
• Work with multiple vendors/contractors to deliver complex, highly customizable products/solutions to clients
• Research and actively seek out enterprise level clients
• Mentor/coach less experienced staff as needed and may lead informal training sessions

Your Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus HVAC certification and 5 years HVAC field service experience or bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of related commercial HVAC sales experience
• 7+ years of commercial HVAC service and solutions sales experience (Preferred)
• Prior experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Ability to travel territory daily
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to influence the market
• Experience with Salesforce or any other sales tracking software (Preferred)

This position may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate's education, experience, and demonstrated competencies.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $73,300 to $120,700 plus a sales incentive plan in Alabama. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
