Job summary

Jones County Public Schools is seeking a Compliance and MTSS Coordinator to lead district-wide MTSS implementation and ensure IDEA compliance across EC services. Under the Director of EC and Student Services, you will oversee data collection, professional development, and coaching of staff to improve student outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, policy adherence, and collaboration with school-based teams to sustain equitable supports grounded in NC MTSS and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred for leadership in EC/MTSS roles.
• Must be certified to teach in North Carolina and hold a current teaching license.
• Five years of successful teaching experience; experience in leadership roles preferred.
• Experience facilitating teams and delivering professional learning for adults.

Responsibilities

• Monitor district compliance with IDEA and NC policies; conduct internal reviews and audits.
• Review IEPs for compliance, educational appropriateness, measurable goals, and service alignment.
• Manage EC records and FERPA compliance; support records transfers and audits.
• Monitor MTSS fidelity, data trends, and district-wide problem-solving processes.
• Provide coaching, professional development, and technical assistance to staff.
• Support district leadership in data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement.
