Job summary

Circle K in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Store Manager with strong leadership and customer service skills to oversee daily store operations and achieve financial goals. You will supervise and coach Store Managers, implement promotions, manage costs, and collaborate with Marketing and vendors to ensure merchandise availability and successful product launches.

The role requires 3-5 years in retail with prior management experience, proficiency in MS Office, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of retail business experience or more preferred; including minimum of 2 years of management responsibility.
• Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
• Must have demonstrated leadership ability, good communication skills, be self-directed, self-motivated and customer service oriented.
• Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
• Ability to supervise and train Store Managers in use of store equipment, tools and materials.
• A current valid driver's license is required to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Recap promotional activity and report business opportunities, results, trends and competitive information to store management.
• Educate managers on controlling merchandise variation, salaries, overtime, cash, and other costs.
• Collaborate with Marketing to implement promotions and new product introductions.
• Provide feedback to category managers regarding stock issues and vendor performance.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, and orientation processes and staff development.
• Forecast requirements and assist in annual budget planning; monitor variances and take corrective actions.
• Lead and coach store managers to achieve financial objectives and ensure safe, compliant operations.
