Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to lead 15+ store teams across the Lakeland area, driving store profitability while ensuring customer service and a compliant work environment.

You will coach store managers, oversee merchandising and operations, recruit and develop leaders, and travel up to 50% to support district stores. Strong leadership and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• At least 5 years retail experience with at least 2 years multi-store experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-building abilities.
• Ability to analyze, organize and present information with a results focus.
• Strong business acumen and customer service orientation.
• HR and asset protection knowledge.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Process management and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive success and profitability of stores while ensuring customer service and safety.
• Oversee merchandising, operations and expense control programs.
• Lead, coach and mentor store managers to meet objectives.
• Source, recruit, hire and develop district store managers.
• Drive sales, profitability and expense management to meet goals.
• Implement processes and ensure operational consistency across the district.
• Promote safety, compliance and conduct regular audits.
• Manage budgets and optimize store performance.
• Maintain positive, respectful interactions with customers, associates and leaders.
• Travel up to 50% to support stores across the district.
