Qualifications

• Preferred 5 years' experience in the wine industry with a supplier or distributor in a sales role.
• Genuine passion and knowledge of wine; interest in Italian wines preferred.
• Availability and willingness to work flexible hours and weekends when necessary.
• Candidate must reside within designated territory and be able to travel within it.
• Must be able to lift and carry a case of wine (35 lbs) and travel to Italy or HQ as needed.

Responsibilities

• Distributor interaction: brand/wine presentations at GSMs, event activations, and quarterly brand activities.
• Market activity: sales calls to trade accounts, build relationships across the three-tier network, identify new opportunities and host consumer events.

Summary of Position:

The District Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing the HERITA USA portfolio of wines in their territory. The District Manager IL & MO reports to the Sales Director. The District Manager is a dynamic person who develops relationships in the market across the three-tier system. The District Manager trains and inspires distributor personnel and trade accounts. The District Manager represents the portfolio of HERITA USA in their region and is responsible for helping to raise awareness for the brands in the portfolio. The District Manager plays a vital role in driving sales from trade accounts through to the consumer through education, market activity, and relationships.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

? Distributor Interaction

• Brand/Wine presentations at General Sales Meetings (GSMs)
• Event activations for relationship development and brand education
• Assist Sales Director in programming brand activities quarterly
• Assist Sales Director in preparing & delivering business reviews against annual sales goals
• Work with distributor personnel to achieve sales goals from HERITA USA management (including new placements, revenue, case goals)
• Monitor inventory monthly & aid in ensuring on hand inventory supports sales needs in the market

? Market Activity

• Sales calls to trade accounts, on and off-premise
• Develop and continue to build relationships across the three-tier network (with distributor personnel and trade accounts)
• Identify new account opportunities (call on, present and sell in)
• Maintain existing and ongoing relationships with trade partners
• Host consumer facing events (i.e. wine festivals or wine dinners)
• Work with distributor salespeople against sales priorities
• Work independently in the market

• Continue to develop and grow wine knowledge
• Identify and share opportunities to grow our business in a positive and impactful manner
• Display original thinking and creativity for problem solving
• Communicate pertinent information between HERITA USA management, distributor management and trade accounts

• Other duties as assigned by HERITA USA Management

Job Requirements:

• ? Preferred 5 years' experience in the wine industry with a supplier or distributor in a sales position
• ? Genuine passion and knowledge of wine industry, interest in Italian wines preferred
• ? Availability and willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, when necessary
• ? Candidate must reside within designated territory
• ? Candidate must be able to travel around within assigned designated territory, valid and clean driving record
• ? Candidate must be able to lift and carry a case of wine, 35LBS
• ? Candidate must be willing and able to travel to Italy, at the company's request
• ? Candidate must be willing and able to travel to corporate headquarters annually
