Job summary

Firehouse Subs Chattanooga is seeking a District Manager to lead six restaurants, mentor general managers, and drive sales, guest experience, and operational excellence.

You will manage labor, food costs, scheduling, inventory, and strategic initiatives while upholding brand standards and safety. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on team development and community impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience.
• Ability to coach, motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Proven track record of improving restaurant operations and profitability.
• Strong understanding of labor, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and P&L.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, people-first leadership style.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Chattanooga-area restaurants.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop 6 General Managers and their restaurant teams.
• Ensure operational excellence and consistent execution across all 6 locations.
• Drive sales growth, guest traffic, and profitability.
• Deliver outstanding guest service while maintaining Firehouse Subs brand standards.
• Manage and improve labor, food cost, scheduling, inventory, and other controllable expenses.
• Analyze restaurant performance, identify opportunities, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
• Ensure restaurants meet company expectations for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and operational execution.
• Implement company initiatives and execute training and development programs.
• Build a positive, accountable culture that supports employee engagement, retention, and high performance.
• Coach General Managers on leadership, restaurant operations, financial performance, and team development.
• Conduct regular restaurant visits and follow up on identified opportunities.
• Support new restaurant openings, remodels, and ongoing brand development.
• Partner with company leadership to achieve market and organizational goals.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of restaurant labor, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and P&L management
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• A hands-on, people-first leadership style
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-unit restaurant environment
• Ability to travel regularly between Chattanooga-area restaurants
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
