Job summary

AMH is seeking a District Maintenance Manager to oversee vacant maintenance and turn processes across a portfolio in Schaumburg, IL. You will lead field turn teams, ensure safety and quality, and drive cost control while meeting company standards.

You will review maintenance and financial reports, manage resources and vendor relationships, and ensure timely completion of tasks. A strong background in maintenance leadership and budget oversight is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical training certification preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive responsibility supervising field maintenance.
• Minimum two (2) years of project management (Capital Expenditures).
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team handling turn maintenance operations, logistics, and daily workflow.
• Hire, train, coach, and guide field technicians while monitoring performance and KPIs.
• Manage resources, budgets, and KPIs for assigned assets.
• Review maintenance and financial reports; communicate with partners.
• Oversee vendor performance and compliance; coordinate with departments to finish tasks.
