Job summary

San Benito CISD is seeking a full-time Locksmith to provide district locksmith services under the supervision of the Executive Director of Operations. The role manages the Best Keying Program, repairs locking devices for district facilities, and coordinates hardware layouts for projects.

Three years of related experience and a valid Texas driver's license are required. The position supports both office equipment and building hardware, with a focus on safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with SBISD insurance carrier.
• Three years of locksmith or hardware experience with door/window hardware.

Responsibilities

• Complies with district policies and safety procedures.
• Repairs district locking devices on office equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of hardware on doors and windows.
• Combines cores, cuts keys, and maintains records for the Best Locking System.
• Provides hardware layouts for new and repair projects.
• Prepares initial purchasing documents to construct, repair or replace locking hardware.
• Maintains tools and equipment; keeps materials neat and recorded.
• Maintains a clean and safe working area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
