Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Branch Manager in the United States to lead a diverse team across sales, service, maintenance and drivers. You will drive customer service excellence and build a profitable branch using your business and leadership skills.

You’ll be responsible for safety, budgeting and strategic initiatives while mentoring staff and ensuring operational success in a dynamic rental environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of business management experience with P&L responsibility at a branch or profit center.
• Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
• Strong sales and customer service experience required; outside sales preferred.
• Effective leadership, motivation, organization and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service and profitability
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives
• Prepare reports including profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets and other status reports
• Manage personnel matters
• Oversee safety matters including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations and testing
• Other duties assigned as needed
