Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a District Manager in Training to learn how to oversee operations of multiple stores in partnership with Store Managers across your district.

You will develop store leaders, analyze sales, manage payroll, cash control, inventory, and recruit/train associates, traveling up to 50% to support stores.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience are required.
• Experience with merchandising is required.
• Previous recruiting experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Multi-unit retail management experience, preferably dealing with hardlines/variety merchandise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop store leaders to exceed customer expectations
• Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales
• Maintain inventory mix and merchandise presentation to maximize sales
• Partner with store managers to recruit and train new associates
• Foster growth and development of associates into leadership roles
• Manage payroll hours
• Ensure cash control and conduct store audits
• Monitor inventory shrinkage and control losses
• Provide exceptional customer service in safe, respectful stores
• Develop relationships with associates, leaders, and communities
• Travel up to 50% to oversee district stores
