Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across stores in the district. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, oversee pharmacy operations, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.

The role requires active pharmacist licensure in the store's state and an active NPI, with travel within the district and a part-time schedule. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as needed.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends; complete required trainings on time.
• Concentrate on prescriptions, verify accuracy, and pivot between tasks to meet patient needs.
• Provide compassionate patient care and coaching to the pharmacy team; support insurance and medication issues.
• Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues; demonstrate active listening.
• Perform dosage calculations and ensure correct dispensing quantities.
• Identify and resolve patient or staff issues with appropriate actions.
• Maintain physical stamina: stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and handle items safely.
• Support job tasks assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
