PCL Digital Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a District HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental programs for its national data center unit.

The role requires extensive construction safety expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to drive district-level safety strategies. You will oversee policy implementation, inspections, emergency planning, and incident investigations while collaborating with district management and external stakeholders to minimize risk and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Postsecondary degree in OH&S or related field.
• Extensive experience in construction safety and HSE program development.
• Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation.
• Experience supervising teams and coaching.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews internal HSE policies and practices for currency and effectiveness.
• Oversees HSE inspections and ensures quality.
• Develops district HSE strategic plan with district management.
• Develops and evaluates emergency response plans.
• Responds to significant incidents and coordinates resolution.
• Assesses safety performance of contractors and communicates findings.
• Participates in incident investigations and determines need for external resources.

Here’s how a District HSE Manager for PCL Digital Infrastructure, Inc. within Digital Infrastructure contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Reviews internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they are current, appropriate, implemented, and communicated.
• Oversees the quality and effectiveness of HSE inspections.
• Develops and rolls out district strategic HSE plan in conjunction with district management.
• Develops and evaluates the effectiveness of emergency response plan.
• Involved in the response to and resolution of any significant incidents.
• Conducts risk management assessment of trade contractor safety performance and communicates findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Participates in the investigation process as per the incident investigation matrix and determines when external resources are required.
• Review the quality of the investigations and subsequent findings.
• Looks for opportunities to mitigate/minimize risk and financial exposure for claims. Assists with the development of any appeals and meets with compensation board when applicable.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary diploma/degree in OH&S or a related discipline.
• 12 years of experience in related industry.
• 6 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, execution, and terminology.
• Expert knowledge of all OH&S and environmental legislation related to the district.
• Conflict resolution, with the ability to manage and effectively resolve conflict with clients/government and influence others towards resolution in high‑pressure situations.
• Develops, evaluates, and makes recommendations for project HSE processes; communicates what is expected of the district HSE processes; and implements corporate policy.
• Ability to influence safety culture and industry legislation.
• Strong ability to coach and mentor others.

The estimated salary range for this role is $137,000 - $177,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.

We anticipate this requisition will be open for a minimum of five days, though it may be open for a longer period of time.
