Morton Community Unit School District 709 is seeking a Full-Time Groundskeeper to maintain all school grounds, athletic fields, and outdoor facilities in a clean, safe, and visually appealing condition district-wide.

Responsibilities include mowing lawns, snow removal, landscaping, operating mowers and tractors, inspecting equipment and playgrounds, completing work orders, and supporting site maintenance under the Director of Operations.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Illinois driver’s license required.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Able to perform manual tasks including climbing, stooping, carrying supplies and equipment, and handling chemicals.
• Must pass preemployment physical, fingerprint background check, and employment history review.

Aufgaben

• Mowing lawns, snow removal, landscaping, aerating, seeding and fertilizing.
• Operate and maintain mowers, snow plows and tractors and related equipment.
• Evaluate exterior/grounds maintenance needs and report concerns to Director of Operations.
• Repair miscellaneous school equipment.
• Complete work orders from building administrators and Director of Operations.
• Respond to emails and work orders in a timely, professional manner.
• Install playground equipment and inspect biannually, repair as needed.
• Prepare softball and baseball diamonds as scheduled or needed.
• Standardize lawn/landscaping procedures and playground inspections.
• Look for ways to streamline grounds operations district-wide.
• Navigate AESOP for vacation, personal, sick, and comp time.
• Perform such other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
