Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a District Facility Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance teams across assigned locations and ensure safe, compliant facilities that support uninterrupted freight operations.

You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs, drive vendor performance, and develop staff while monitoring cost, scheduling, and system compliance within a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 2 years in building maintenance.
• 2 years of leadership or supervision experience preferred.
• Experience managing maintenance vendors, service contracts, and facility projects preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, doors, dock equipment, and general facility infrastructure preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and employee development skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians (FMTs).
• Oversee district maintenance operations and ensure timely work orders, PMs, and emergency repairs.
• Monitor performance metrics such as work order aging, response times, backlog, and service quality.
• Partner with Operations leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and support uninterrupted business operations.
• Manage vendor performance and relationships, ensuring service standards while identifying cost opportunities.
• Control maintenance spends through cost analysis, resource optimization, and vendor management.
• Coordinate daily operations, including workload prioritization, scheduling, and project execution.
• Oversee administrative functions including payroll, timekeeping, and reporting.
