Job summary

Hillsboro School District is seeking a District Facilities & Security Support for weekend night shifts (Saturday & Sunday, 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 12-month calendar. You will help ensure safety, security, and proper operation of district facilities and systems.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, English proficiency, computer skills, and DPSST/First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain them within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Proficient in computer and Internet-based applications, including email.
• HOLD a valid certificate in a District approved student intervention system or obtain in 60 days.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Hold a DPSST certificate or obtain within 30 days.
• Hold a valid Oregon driver’s license.
• Hold First aid/CPR certification or obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge of Fire Panels, HVAC, Refrigeration, Intrusion and access control systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations within identified trades.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

GENERAL DUTIES

Ensure the security, safety and proper building performance of District facilities and systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Hold a valid certificate in a District approved student intervention system or be able to obtain in 60 days
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Hold a valid Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) certificate or be able to obtain within 30 days
• Hold a valid Oregon driver's license
• Hold a valid First aid/CPR certification or be able to obtain one in 30 days
• General understanding in Fire Panels, HVAC, Refrigeration, Intrusion and access control systems
• Knowledge of regulations governing work within identified trades including rules on safety practices
• Knowledge and skills in building envelope systems i.e. plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Experience in security services preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
