Job summary

Harrison School District 2 is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead daily operations, maintenance, and repair of all district facilities across schools and support sites.

The role oversees electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, fire/security systems, kitchen mechanics, and general maintenance, while supervising the EHS Manager and coordinating with contractors to implement capital upgrades and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent management experience with technical training in facilities management.
• Five years in facility operations or building trades, with at least three years supervising skilled trades.
• Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
• Ability to oversee multiple trades and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise trades and maintenance personnel across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, fire/security systems, kitchen mechanics, and general building technicians.
• Oversee Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager; ensure OSHA, EPA, AHERA, ADA and local safety regulations.
• Coordinate with site staff and Operations to assess facility needs and manage the work order system.
• Develop and implement SOPs and preventative maintenance protocols; monitor compliance.
• Provide 24-hour response to facility emergencies and coordinate after-hours repairs.
