Job summary

The Reading School District seeks an Assistant Director of Facilities to support the Director of Facilities in directing and managing district facility services and personnel. The role ensures a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for students and staff across district buildings.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations of building systems, coordinating maintenance, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree plus 7 years of related supervisory experience; Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related supervisory experience; or High school diploma or GED plus 10 years related supervisory experience required.
• Experience and/or an education in the architectural and/or buildings & trades field are preferred.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of assigned buildings' systems, including custodial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Coordinates preventive maintenance programs in assigned buildings.
• Responds to work orders and ensures prompt resolution through delegation.
