Job summary

24 Hour Fitness is seeking a District Repair and Maintenance Manager to oversee district-wide repair and maintenance operations for buildings and equipment. The role manages Technicians and Specialists, partners with RVPs and Club GMs, and provides on-site support for clubs.

Responsibilities include leading teams, managing budgets, scheduling maintenance, and coordinating with vendors. The position requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and hands-on maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of facilities/engineering management experience.
• Experience leading in a multi-unit environment.
• Knowledge of scheduling and staffing facilities maintenance teams.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication, organization, and training skills.
• Highly organized and able to multitask independently.
• Professionalism, integrity and strong work ethic.
• Understanding of liability issues and general safety in a public business.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to manage and track work orders and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop a district-based team of technicians and specialists.
• Review time, labor, and expense processes and manage budgets.
• Assign technical issues to specialists for troubleshooting.
• Ensure task execution alignment and quality across the district.
• Oversee janitorial leadership and cleanliness pilots.
• Lead weekly district facilities meetings on pools, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Provide technical guidance on facilities issues and projects.
• Schedule priority work and allocate resources accordingly.
• Enforce Facilities SOPs and safe operation of interior/exterior areas.
• Coordinate with General Managers and Field Leaders on maintenance needs.
• Oversee work orders, vendor coordination, and procurement with OPR.
• As player-coach, perform repairs with the team as needed.
• Manage and coordinate district Technical Resources (power washers, lifts, etc.).
• Plan regular maintenance routines (pools, PMs, drains, HVAC).
• Control budgets for R&M, purchasing, and vendor expenses.
• Bid and approve outside vendors for major projects.
