Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee successful implementation and execution of all Merchandising Services activities within assigned retail stores.
• Manage General Service Guidelines, Projects, Resets, and other assigned services.
• Communicate with District Managers and supplier points of contact.
• Oversee managers, supervisors, and associates working day and night teams.
• Ensure merchandising strategies and programs are executed successfully.
• Hire, train, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
• Manage team safety, quality, productivity, and project completion metrics.
• Manage team budgeting, including overtime, payroll, and other expenses.
• Attend district meetings and communicate service metrics and other information.
• Monitor manager participation in the SSC-led captainship program.
• Communicate and follow up on merchandising issues.
• Coach and mentor direct reports and provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Provide guidance, set priorities, and assist with assigned tasks.
• Ensure execution of staffing, training, rewards, and recognition.
• Set and communicate expectations.
• Conduct store visits and monitor reports across day and night teams.
• Provide direction on merchandising activities and special projects.
• Hold the team accountable for expenses.
• Use regional captainship programs to identify and resolve local and national issues.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Working knowledge of presentation software, e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint

• Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy to understand terms to diverse audiences

• Experience working in the retail merchandising service industry or directly for a large-scale retailer with multilocation responsibility
